Với từ nối, đừng chọn theo cảm giác. Che từ nối đi, đọc hai vế, tự gọi tên quan hệ giữa chúng (bổ sung · đối lập · nguyên nhân · kết quả · ví dụ · nhượng bộ) rồi mới tìm từ khớp. Với Rhetorical Synthesis, câu lệnh mới là đề — đọc kỹ mục tiêu trước khi đọc các gạch đầu dòng.
