| Introduction | Mở bằng ba việc thường ngày nay đều phải giao tên, số thẻ, ảnh cho một trang web · lập trường: tích cực xét tổng thể, miễn người dùng và doanh nghiệp giữ gìn thông tin cẩn thận. |
| Body 2 (Tiêu cực và phản biện) | Cơ sở dữ liệu bị hack → đánh cắp danh tính, lừa đảo giả nhân viên ngân hàng · khác ví rơi, dữ liệu lộ không thu hồi được; ảnh đăng lúc 18 tuổi nhà tuyển dụng vẫn tìm thấy · NHƯNG phòng được: xác thực hai lớp, luật bảo vệ dữ liệu nghiêm, chỉ chia sẻ thứ dịch vụ thật cần – như dây an toàn với ô tô. |
| Conclusion | Dịch vụ thiết yếu nhanh hơn, dễ tiếp cận hơn, đổi lại là rủi ro lừa đảo và mất riêng tư · cái giá ấy giảm mạnh được → có lợi xét tổng thể. |
Paying a bill, ordering groceries or keeping in touch with friends now usually means handing names, card numbers and photographs to a website. In spite of the risks this creates, I regard the trend as positive on balance, as long as both users and companies treat that information with care.
The benefits are felt every day. A customer whose card and address are stored can complete a purchase in seconds, and banking apps allow money to be transferred at midnight from a village with no branch for miles. This matters most to people who were poorly served before: older people, people with disabilities and rural residents can now manage their finances without travelling. Sharing personal details on social platforms likewise lets migrants and overseas students remain part of family life from another continent. Even security can improve, because a bank that knows a customer's usual habits is able to flag suspicious transactions within moments, something a cash-based system could never do.
The dangers, however, are serious. Company databases are regularly hacked, and stolen details are used for identity theft or sold to fraudsters, who then pose convincingly as bank staff and persuade victims to hand over their savings. Unlike a lost wallet, information that has leaked cannot be recalled, and a photograph posted at eighteen may still be found by an employer years later. Nevertheless, these harms are largely preventable. Two-factor authentication, strict data-protection laws and the habit of sharing only what a service genuinely needs remove much of the risk, in much the same way that seat belts made driving acceptably safe without anyone having to give up cars.
Taking everything into account, putting private information online has made essential services faster and more widely accessible, at the price of exposing people to fraud and a loss of privacy. Since that price can be greatly reduced through sensible precautions and regulation, I believe the development is beneficial overall.
