Maps — A plan to redevelop an industrial site

The given maps compare an industrial site as it is now with a proposed plan to redevelop it into a housing area.

Overall, the site is set to undergo a dramatic transformation, especially in terms of its function and its buildings, shifting from industrial to residential use, while the four surrounding roads will remain unchanged.

In terms of the western and central parts of the site, the parking area and the storage unit will make way for a long row of three- and four-bedroom houses running along Toe Lane. The entrance and reception building at the top of the site is set to be demolished, and three two-bedroom houses will be constructed in its place. Directly below them, the open yard will be transformed into communal gardens, separated from the houses on each side by private roads.

Turning to the southern and eastern parts, the block of six offices and the canteen near Swallow Street is planned to be replaced by parking garages. Meanwhile, the factory on the eastern side will be knocked down to make way for an apartment building, with a parking area located at its northern end.
