| Introduction | Paraphrase: tỉ lệ người thuộc bốn nhóm tuổi đi xem bốn loại sự kiện âm nhạc ở một nước, năm 2006. |

The bar chart illustrates what proportion of people in four age brackets went to pop/rock, classical, jazz and opera performances in one country in 2006.
Overall, pop/rock concerts drew by far the largest audiences among younger adults, but their appeal faded sharply with age. Classical music and opera, in contrast, were better attended by older people, while jazz attracted a similar minority of every group.
Pop/rock was attended by 41% of 16–24-year-olds, more than three times the combined figure for the other three events in that group. The share then fell with each successive group, to 33% of those aged 25–44, 19% of 45–64-year-olds and only 4% of people aged 65 and over, roughly a tenth of the level seen among the youngest.
Classical concerts followed the opposite pattern. Attendance tripled from 5% in the youngest group to a peak of 15% among 45–64-year-olds and stood at 14% for those aged 65 and over, making it the clear favourite of the oldest group, where pop/rock came last. Opera was the least popular event in the three younger groups, rising from 2% to 6%, before easing to 5% among the over-65s, level with jazz, which varied the least, staying between 5% and 8% throughout.
