Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing in response to the notice on your website inviting volunteers for the Harbourside Food Festival (12–14 September), and I would like to offer my services.
I have lived in the town for six years and have attended the festival every summer, so I would welcome the chance to give something back to an event that has brought so many visitors and small producers to the area.
In terms of experience, I worked for two summers as a waitress at a busy seafront café, so I am used to dealing with the public and staying calm under pressure. I hold a Level 2 food hygiene certificate and a first-aid qualification, both gained last year, and I speak fluent Spanish, which may be useful with overseas visitors.
I am available for all three days from 8 a.m. until the site closes. I would be particularly suited to a role on the information desk or assisting stallholders, although I would be glad to take on whatever is most needed.
I have attached a brief CV and would be happy to attend an induction session at any time.
